I started a couple of different drawings to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but they were awful. Trite. Cliched. Ungood.
So then I thought, keep it simple. If I could say anything to Mr. King, it would be this:
“Thank you.
Thank you for the courage. For the example. For the words. For the inspiration.”
And what, I ask you, says “thank you” better than a fruit basket?
